Dr. Lawrence F. Eichenfield is Chief of Pediatric and Adolescent Dermatology at Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego, Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology and Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, was a pediatric resident and Chief Resident at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and completed his dermatology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Eichenfield’s clinical interests include atopic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis, vascular lesions including port wine stains and hemangiomas, neonatal dermatology, laser surgery, nevi, and skin signs of systemic disease. He has authored more than 400 journal articles, chapters, abstracts, and books on these topics and has served as the senior editor of Neonatal and Infant Dermatology, published by Elsevier, as well as The Eczemas, published by Summit Communications. He served as Editor-in-Chief of Pediatric Dermatology for 12 years and serves on the editorial boards of multiple journals and periodicals. In addition, Dr. Eichenfield has been honored as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society during medical school, a recipient of the Benjamin Ritter Award at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and as a recipient of excellence in teaching awards from UCSD Pediatrics, UCSD Dermatology, and Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego. He has been named one of the “Best Doctors in America” since 1994. Dr. Eichenfield is past president of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and past Board member of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as Chair for the 69th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Eichenfield is also a founding board member of the American Acne and Rosacea Society, and a founder and past Co-Chair of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA).

Dawn Marie R. Davis, MD

Dr. Dawn Davis is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic Rochester. A native of Kansas City, she graduated from the University of Missouri Honors College with a degree in Biology, followed by a Medical Doctorate with honors from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Davis is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Davis serves Mayo Clinic as the Enterprise Medical Director of the Referring Provider Office, and also Alumni Relations. She is the former Director of the Women’s Program for female staff. She is a former Mayo Clinic Diversity Leader and former member of the physician staff council. She is the founder of the Pediatric Dermatology Fellowship and currently serves as the Division Chair of Clinical Dermatology. She is a frequent spokesperson for Mayo Clinic media relations and writes for MayoClinic.com. She has received the Excellence in Patient Care Award and the Excellence in Clinical Dermatology Award at Mayo.

Dr. Davis serves Dermatology external to Mayo Clinic. She is President of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and directed the Annual SPD conference in 2016. Dr. Davis was a member of the AAD Atopic Dermatitis Guidelines Committee and is currently on the AAD Psoriasis Guidelines Committee. She also supports the National Eczema Association Coalition for Better Eczema Care initiative. Locally, she is a Trustee for the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, and has served as President. She is a board member of the Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust. Dr. Davis was awarded the Young Leaders Award by the Dermatology Foundation in 2006, and won a Women’s Dermatologic Society mentorship award in Pediatric Dermatology in 2008. She was inducted into the American Dermatological Association in 2018, and was recently appointed Associate Editor of her specialty journal. Dr. Davis actively contributes to the literature with book chapters, manuscripts, and numerous posters and oral presentations.

Alan Irvine, MD, DSc

Dr. Alan Irvine is a Consultant Dermatologist in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital and St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. He is Professor in Dermatology, Trinity College Dublin. His research interests are in epithelial genetics, characterisation of the skin barrier, disease mechanisms in, and therapy of atopic dermatitis. He has published more than 230 peer reviewed papers with a h index of 62. His international awards include the 2006 Times Higher Education Supplement Research Project of the Year and 2007 Paul Gerson Unna Prize (German Dermatology Society). He has delivered serval named/prize lectureships including the MB Sulzberger (AAD, 2018), Honig (CHOP/U Penn, 2018), RW Goltz (U Minnesota, 2016), Watson-Smith (RCP Edinburgh, 2015), Dolovich (AAAAI, 2013) Lectures. In 2015, Alan was made an inaugural director of the International Eczema Council, an international body of experts dedicated to the study and treatment of atopic dermatitis. In 2019 he was elected to the Royal Irish Academy.

Vikash Oza, MD

Dr. Vikash (“Kashie”) Oza is an Assistant Professor in Dermatology and Pediatrics at the NYU Langone Medical School and is the Director of the Pediatric Dermatology Division. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Biology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Oza holds board certifications in Pediatrics, Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. He completed his pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and his dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine. He has won teaching awards in the both the departments of Dermatology and Pediatrics while on faculty at NYU. He has clinical and research interests in atopic dermatitis, genetic dermatology, medical education and patient communication. 

Jonathan Silverberg,
MD, PhD, MPH

Dr. Jonathan Silverberg is an Associate Professor of Dermatology, Medical Social Sciences and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He is also founder and Director of Northwestern Medicine’s Multidisciplinary Eczema Center, and Director of the patch testing clinic at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Silverberg received his doctorate in neuroimmunology, medical degree and Master of Public Health degree in biostatistics and epidemiology from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn where he also completed his internship in internal medicine. He completed his residency training in dermatology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center and Beth Israel Medical Centers in New York, NY.

Dr. Silverberg’s area of clinical subspecialty is inflammatory skin disease, particularly atopic and contact dermatitis. Dr. Silverberg developed a multidisciplinary atopic dermatitis clinic, including providers from dermatology, allergy and immunology, neurology and sleep medicine. His research interests include drug development, clinical trial design, biomarkers, dermato-epidemiology, health services research, patient-reported outcomes, comorbidities and burden of itch and inflammatory skin disease and evidence-based dermatology. His publications include more than 450 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters. He is also the author of the Clinical Management of Atopic Dermatitis handbook (2018).

Dr. Silverberg has also been a local, national and/or international principal investigator for numerous clinical trials for novel treatments in atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory disorders. He has been recognized with several honors, including the Young Leadership Award from the American Dermatological Association in 2017, Teacher of the Year Award in the department of dermatology in 2015, Outstanding Teacher’s Award from the Feinberg School of Medicine in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and the inaugural Rajka Award from the International Society for Atopic Dermatitis in 2014. He is an associate editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology and Current Dermatology Reports. Dr. Silverberg is a member of the International Eczema Council, North American Contact Dermatitis Group the American Society of Contact Dermatitis. Dr. Silverberg is also the chair of the annual Revolutionizing Atopic Dermatitis global multidisciplinary conference.
